Celebrity makeup artist Sir John has partnered with Luminess Cosmetics to create a limited-edition makeup collection inspired by Disney’s “The Lion King.”

The new “Lion King” film, directed by director Jon Favreau, opens in theaters on July 19th.

The makeup line features highly pigmented formulas with colors curated from the African landscape. The line includes deep pan powders, finely-milled eyeshadows and long wear lip products.

Rich neutrals in the “Can’t Wait to Be Queen” Eyeshadow Palette (shown in slide 2) mimics the rich clays found in Africa. The unmistakable sunset orange/red color from the iconic movie poster can be found in the striking Be Brave Matte Lipstick “Lion’s Mane,” shown above, left.  

The packaging is inspired by scenes in the film. 

Retail roll out begins June 15th online at LuminessBeauty.com

On June 16th, 2019 the collection will be available online at Shop Disney and Ulta. It will also be available in select Ulta stores.
